FIFTY TWO.... songs. It was hard, but I've cut it down to about 30 songs (to be released over two discs). I feel like I've worked Harder here than I have on any other project and I hope the results will back those words up. I'm can't wait for you to hear the new music, it is just going to take a little time to get this all organized.”
Preparatevi ad un paio d’ore di chitarristico e viscerale blues/rock, detonatore emotivo per Gary Eisenbraun, ne accelera il battito fin da Keep It to Myself e Running to the Flame, con la foga espressionista del blues e con il colore livido e appassionato del rock in To Change You, assenza soffocante in un orizzonte pacato solo in poche fermate più ‘dolci’ (Waiting in Line, Where Do You Draw the Line?).
Per il resto il newyorchese Gary Eisenbraun si sposta tra Chicago, Memphis, senza dimenticare il Sud degli States, il Mississippi, dove la slide guitar gira intorno agli stessi accordi, Barbed Wire e I Take the Fall, in un’elegia del tempo del blues compresso, da dilatare attraverso la Title-track, When I Lost You e On a String. Il corpo della chitarra raccoglie energia in The Hurt Is in the Dream, If It Wasn't the Truth e There Ain't No Use to Say Good-Bye e poi lo sputa fuori in Wipe the Slate Clean, Scene of the Crime e Too Good to Waste.
